Fly Keystone’s Swamp Pilot Training Program is a Florida backcountry flight training
curriculum focused on tailwheel proficiency, STOL operations, and real-world bush flying
techniques.
The program emphasizes precision aircraft
control, soft and short field operations, confined area procedures, and safe off-airport
decision-making in challenging backcountry environments.
The program includes three progressive courses: 1) Basic Tailwheel Endorsement,
introducing conventional gear operations and landings; 2) STOL Training, focused on short
takeoff and landing performance and energy management; and 3) Advanced Florida
Backcountry Course, featuring expedition-style flying into remote strips and unimproved
landing areas throughout North Florida.
